Cook Strait

New Zealand is made up of 2 major islands (North and South) which are separated by the Cook Strait. On DAY 8, we took the Inter-Island Ferry from Picton/Blenhiem on the South Island across Cook Strait to Wellington on the North Island. The trip took about 3 hours and although it was a cold and rainy day, the views were spectacular. The sea was relatively calm, but take it from a person who gets nauseous standing on a floating pier.... Scopolamine motion sickness patches really do work!
