TERRY MOORE
San Diego Comic Con
International - July19-23, 2006. A celebration
of Pop Culture. Terry Moore's
depiction above describes it better than all my photos
and words. I
had fun this year in spite of lots and lots of
people. It gets more crowded and bigger every year. But
as long as you plan and don't allow it to make you crazy...
you can still have a good time.
Below are a few
of the photos I took. I
didn't notice until I was putting this page together
that most of my pictures of booths were looking up
and not the inside of booths. Probably, because
all the pictures would be of crowds and not the contents
of the booths. I also snapped
pictures of attendees in costume. A co-worker
was surprised when I told her not everyone dresses
up and in fact only a very small percentage of the
100,000+ throng. It's just that
they get the most attention. What was new: More
Television studios attended - following the movie studios
lead. With
more media participation, the movie/TV/Celebrity panels
were spread over two days rather than one day. There
wasn't a particularly new or exciting booth on the
exhibit floor this year. No
new Narnia or Potter or LOTR type movie to hype. Enjoy.
